'Prolific' Hardy Kiwi (Self Fertile) | Actinidia arguta 'Prolific'
Couldn't load pickup availability
The vines of our female Prolific kiwi grow quickly and produce nourishing, tasty, easy-to-eat fruit. This variety is less aggressive than others and can be easily trained onto trellises or fences. When planted in full to part sun, the flowers will bloom in early summer and give way to sweet, smooth-skinned fruit in the fall.
Unlike most female kiwis, Prolific is self-fertile and will produce tasty, grape-sized fruit on its own, without a male plant as a pollinizer; that said, having a male arguta kiwi within 100 feet will increase production noticeably. These plants are resilient, robust, and generally immune to pests and diseases.
